2. General information

Each use of the Internet involves the transmission of data. Some data, such as your IP address, have to be transmitted to ensure that it is even possible for you to visit the website on a technical level. We require other data so that the website can fulfil its contractual purpose. In the following, we shall particularly explain to you which data we collect, why we process this data and which rights you have.

3. Which data are processed in the system protocol?

The following information is recorded in the website’s log data: IP address of the computer visiting the website (anonymised), authentication fields, data and time of the access, access method and content of the HTML access, and status code of the Web server, as well as information about the browser being used and the operating system of the user’s computer.

4. Use of cookies

To explain to you the use of cookies in a transparent and understandable way, we want to first explain what cookies are:

What are cookies?

A cookie is a small dataset which is placed on the hard drive of your device. This dataset is created by the Web server which you have used to connect to the Internet via your Web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator). It is then sent to you and stored on your hard drive. Thanks to the use of cookies, you can be recognised the next time you visit the website.

Most browsers are currently set up to automatically accept cookies by default. However, you have the possibility to change the settings of your browser so that cookies are automatically rejected or that you have to agree to them being stored. Moreover, you can delete cookies at any time from your system (e.g. Windows Explorer).

The BWI website uses temporary session cookies, a numerical sequence to identify you (ID) during a session. These data are used, for instance, to store the font size you have chosen or forms which you have previously filled in. The session cookie is no longer effective when the Internet browser is closed, and it is automatically deleted.

The following cookies are used on our website:

NSD-accept cookies (storage of the consent to or rejection of cookies) - Duration: Duration of visitSitzungsdauer

5. Use of external Links

Our website contains links to social media channels (e.g. Instagram, Youtube). By clicking on these links you will leave our website and go to another website operated by third parties to which our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy do not apply.

6. Which sources and personal data do we use?

We collect and process no personal data.

7. Adjustments to this privacy policy

In the course of the further development of this website and the implementation of new technologies, changes to this privacy policy could be required. BWI will therefore adjust this privacy policy at irregular intervals. We thus recommend that you read this privacy policy again from time to time.

8. Information on communication in the Internet

Data which is transmitted via this website is encrypted. However, this is not the case when you send emails. As a result, it is possible that your data is intercepted by unauthorised persons. Because BWI cannot currently offer a secure connection or encryption of emails, you should not take the risk of sending emails and, instead, use another form of communication in case of uncertainty. The transmission of data via email takes place explicitly at your own risk.

Declaration of accessibility

This declaration relates to the website published under www.hafen2040.hamburg (http://www.hafen2040.hamburg/).

As a public domain in accordance with EU guideline 2016/2102, we strive to make all our websites and mobile applications accessible. The website is designed in accordance with the regulations stipulated in the Hamburgisches Behindertengleichstellungsgesetz (HmbBGG - lit. the Hamburg Law for Equal Treatment of Handicapped Persons) as well as the Hamburgische Barrierefreie Informationstechnik-Verordnung (HmbBITVO - lit. the Hamburg Accessible Information Technology Act) in order to implement the EU guideline 2016/2102.

Current status of compatibility with legal guideline requirements

The accessibility requirements result from Section 1 HmbBITVO in conjunction with Section 3 Paragraphs 1 to 4 and Section 4 of the Federal BITV, which was issued on the basis of Section 11 HmbBGG.

On the start page in particular, attention has been paid to maximum accessibility. All important information, such as the port development plan part 1 and part 2, is available as a largely barrier-free PDF including programming for screen reader tools.

Furthermore, in particular the font size, line length, text arrangement, images and contrasts, colors, alternative image descriptions and operability with the keyboard have been optimized to ensure accessibility.

The verification of compliance with the requirements is based on an assessment carried out by Tabula Rasa Creation GmbH in the period from May 9th, 2023 to June 13th, 2023 using the following tools and test centers:

www.callassoftware.com/en

www.leserlich.info

https://wave.webaim.org/

As a result of the review, the website is partially compliant with the aforementioned requirements due to the following inconsistencies and exceptions.

Non-Accessible Content

The content of the startpage listed below is not fully accessible for the following reasons:

· Subpage: vertical text

· Subpage: white lettering on red/orange pattern

· Subpage: animation of the action areas with text on pattern

· Subpage: possibly the measures map

Date of the accessibility statement

This declaration was created on May 10, 2023 and last checked on June 13, 2023.
